Classic Kate Moss

Seriously, what could be a better formula than a pair of chic black knee high boots, a black turtleneck sweater and Kate Moss in black + white photo? Stuart Weitzman had the right idea again for his fall 2013 campaign. Sometimes just a simple backdrop paired with the timeless essentials are best. Turtlenecks are one of my favorite f/w staples (especially in black), so yeah that’s pretty much what my fall uniform looks like all season. Well...minus running around in my underwear of course!

Saturdays with Kate Spade

today is saturday, the best day of the week! i don’t know about you, but i can’t wait for saturdays. as if i didn’t love kate spade enough already, just take a peek at the new kate spade collection saturday. it pays complete tribute to #thebestdayever. i am so excited to soon own a piece of this bright and cheery new line. it looks right up my alley with it’s b+w striped patterns, pops of color and simple saturday silhouettes. the entire line launches for sale in march, but here is a sneak peak of some of the items i am currently coveting up for sale at fab.com. i am just dying over the lyrics on the i-phone case!

in the mood for mod...

Black and white, simple and mod, comfortable and warm.

That was my outfit for the day, as we explored the town of Prescott, AZ.  On a location shoot for the December issue of Black Cat Vintage (stay tuned...). Before we left, we decided to mix a little work with play and head out for a bite to eat, and a visit to the local antique stores. I love exploring other towns, and whenever I have the chance, it is a must that I come back home with a little treasure (or two) from a local shop. 

Here is what I wore, as we strolled around the quaint little northern Arizona town of Prescott. The golden leaves were falling off the trees and the air outside, was brisk and chilly- perfect!

houndstooth

The houndstooth print is a favorite of mine, to see come to surface during the fall season. It's actually one that I just associate in my mind with fall, period.. Actually, you know what, houndstooth is fall, in every way, shape and form!

I picked these houndstooth booties up on a lucky whim, in last season’s clearance racks. Good thing I did, because houndstooth is pretty much a timeless print. I’m sure I will get my use out of these time and again. For goodness sake, I’ve been saving these in my closet for about eight months! Anxiously waiting to wear them, with a fresh new pair of black tights this season. Oh, and a new shift dress from h&m, with a pretty little pearl collar too :)

Black and White

There is nothing more simple, timeless and eye appealing than the classic color combination of black and white. An instant chic and a crisp perfectly-polished and put together feeling every time!

Here are some black and white ensembles that make me happy, one of my very own favorite black and white dresses included! Fact: give it to me in a houndstooth or stripe print, sometimes it just looks better in black and white!
