Stay out West in Vintage Luxury (2of5)

Happy Friday to all of you!

This is the second entry in the "Stay Out West in Vintage Luxury" travel series that I started about a month ago. So sorry it took me so long to move along with these entries. I think I have mentioned before that I am easily distracted at times lol!. Anywhoo, enough rambling. Here it goes:

On my list today is Tucson's beautiful Lodge on the Desert. The Lodge on the Desert is the epitome of Old West ambiance and intimacy at it's finest. That only time worn historic locations and desert relaxation can create. The Lodge started out in 1931 as an actual residence to Cornelia and Homer Lininger. Who then in 1936 opened the Lodge for business with seven little quaint hacienda style rooms. With the hope that travelers passing through the Old West would feel at home and peaceful in our desert environment and landscape.

Today, more than 73 years after that little clever idea was entertained. It is known as one of Tucson's premiere boutique style hotels. Still keeping it's original historic 35 guest rooms. The Lodge went under a huge renovation project that was completed in June 2009. It added an additional 103 units to it's already magnificent desert oasis. Located in the heart of mid-town Tucson. It makes for a very convenient location to surrounding entertainment, restaurants, shopping, etc. And only a hop, skip and jump away from Historic Downtown Tucson.

Take a drive south to discover a small Mexico style town full of cultural art in Tubac. Or maybe you would like to take a day trip to the wonderful historic towns of Tomstone or Bisbee. For some old cowboy history, good eats and antiquing. On the other hand, maybe you would like to relax in the nearby Sonoita scenery, while sipping on a glass of magnificent tasting wine. Whatever it may be, with a golden view of the mountains, charming Vintage Old West hacienda style rooms, Old West hospitality, and an unparalleled desert sunset. I invite you to come and relax in the desert. The Lodge on the Desert awaits your stay!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

XOXO,

Syd
