Black: Transitioning to Fall

In the mood for a black uniform, as we transition to a slow fall in the old pueblo....

Shades of Olive

Green has always been on the list of favorite colors, but lately I've been obsessing over the color green, olive green to be specific. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors to wear this season. The actual fall weather reaches the desert a little later than the rest of the world, so this news flash may be late. Some of these items would argue to be called the color moss. Indeed it's very close in scale, but maybe a tad bit more brown in it. I think I just like the word  "olive" better, don't you? Here are some of my favorite selections in the world of olive.
PS- I am coveting those SW boots, and Christmas is around the corner (hint, hint).

Lady Rebel

She is every bit of a lady, with just a pinch of a rebel soul. I love the juxtaposition of these two style elements together, don’t you? This is the perfect ensemble for a seamless transition into Fall, and these pieces can be mixed + matched and styled in so many other looks too, they are such versatile staples to have in your closet. Paris in the Fall

Doesn’t wandering the streets of Paris on a beautiful fall day just sound divine? Breakfast and people watching from a favorite cafe, then a day spent roaming the halls of museums, and hunting for treasures at local flea markets and bookstores. How about ending the day with plenty of champagne, cheeses and baguettes? Don’t mind if I do!

This mix of casually chic high and low items are just the right combination to keep you warm, comfy and cozy, while fulfilling all your Parisian dreams. Some of the investment pieces such as a classic Burberry trench coat, an Hermes scarf or a YSL leather purse will become timeless staple pieces in your wardrobe and last you forever if they are properly cared for. Treat yourself to one at a time. Maybe even invest in some vintage ones if you happen to find them, (always incorporate some more vintage pieces in there somewhere if possible, with some jewelry or accessories?).

Oh. And as always don’t forget the red lipstick, or an umbrella just in case it rains!

Falls Reading List

I don't know about you, but I am ready to curl up on the sofa with a cozy blanket, a cup of hot chai tea, and a good book! Doesn't that just sound divine? Here are a few little cover bits of new inspiration that are on my reading wish list, for the chilly days spent at home ahead.

le beret

This little round wool hat is a favorite accessory of mine during the fall and winter seasons. It has been a long time staple in my wardrobe and something I look forward to using over and over and over again. Simple, timeless, chic, and the bonus is; it provides an instant fix to a laid back hair day. What could be better? Here are a few style icons who must have felt the same way about LE BERET.

Well.... it's just a perfect coincidence that while I was busy finding pretty gold things to compile for this post, the olympics just happened to end..... hence the title go for the gold!
