Kelly Wearstler + One Kings Lane

What an incredible match made in heaven this is. Kelly Wearstler has such an incredible eye and her  design skills are just beyond. Can you say #girlcrush? Well, she is one of many incredible women I would love to know personally, but I admire her impeccable taste, her mad business woman skills, love of vintage, personal style, and most importantly her talent for juggling all of her passions and being a mom first (I can relate...), a mom to two boys that is. I have a special place in my heart for the mother and son bond. Raising a boy up to be an incredible well rounded man is not an easy task. I feel like we could have some good conversations about kids, life, vintage treasures, design, etc., you know the important stuff.

Back in February, while in town for Modernism Week. I took a visit to the Viceroy in Palm Springs, the hotel that she designed the interiors and outdoor styling for, and believe me it was nothing short of incredible. Not one attention to detail in that glorious black + yellow desert oasis was left out. Just the way I like it.

Follow her blog My Life-My Vibe here for almost daily visual treats of inspiration, or add one of her lovely books to your library. My favorite is no doubt Hue, but there is plenty incredible work to look at in every single one of them!

A few of my favorite items from her collaboration sale with One Kings Lane are already sold out (duh!), but there is nothing wrong with pulling a little eye candy for some inspiration right? So…I made this. Now, If I could only get my hands on that chrome serpent stool, so good!

Vibrant Desert

Five of my favorite things: This graphic painterly vintage midi skirt with a sweet sombrero pattern on it, in pops of vibrant red. A black turtleneck. This enormous Zuni turquoise squash blossom. The beautiful spirit of the De Grazia gallery. The ground of the desert under my feet.

The Fashionable Selby

I have been a fan of the visions, multi-talents and humble beginnings of Todd Selby, and a follower of his blog, The Selby for quite some time now. I really enjoy reading about all of the interesting, creative, stylish and one of a kind visionary people he features a glimpse into the homes and lives of. Some of them well known, and others become exciting new discoveries for me. The first book he published in 2010, sits proudly on my bookshelf at home, and I often open it's pages for little reminders of inspiration and an appreciation for the details.

With that said, I am very excited and anxiously awaiting my copy of The Fashionable Selby! Todd's latest book, which focuses on the artist behind the eye swooning productions, and brings you along for a peek into the studios, life, and living spaces of the Stylists, Designers, Makers, Crafters and Creative spirits. I am prepared for an overload of ideas, inspiration and motivation to keep this journey of my own moving right along....

I See Green

Well, if were going to talk about it (St. Patrick's Day that is...), lets talk about it in the best of possible ways. The homage to the color green and the best things that come in it, like malachite and emeralds!

Let's talk about Valentino again, shall we?

I'm sure you have heard me ramble on about Valentino here before, it was only a few months ago I was swooning over ALL of the pieces in their pre-fall collection. Well, does it surprise you then that they managed to give me that same effect, with the showing of the f/w 2014 collection in Paris yesterday? I'm not surprised really, they just bring it, every time. Again, and again. Pure timeless beauty, glorious fabrics and attention to details. The tailored elegance is a guarantee, and this time we can add leather to the list, and some playful pops of color- perfection! I am just dying over that colorful diamond pattern leather coat, no?

Yes, I own a pair of Nike kicks. Navajo print ones that is.

Though winter is well on it’s way out, there might still be a chance for me to share these shots with you before they miss the bus!

These looks were shot a few months back on a chilly December day in Arizona (imagine that?). Stacia Lugo (friend + photographer) and I walked off a delicious lunch around the downtown streets of Tucson, and decided to grab some snaps of my casual chic ensemble. Well... really the highlight of my look was these dope Navajo print Nike kicks, my hubs picked up for me back in September of last year. They finally had a chance in a proper photograph, how very desert proper they are.
