I adore this dress! I found this little number from the 1950s, a few weeks ago at my local Buffalo Exchange. It is so pretty and was in perfect condition, fits like a glove too! (no alterations needed) I feel like quite a lady in it. The fabric feels so good and I just love the print, color palette and the little bow up by the neckline, it's adds such a pretty feminine detail.

Very romantic, sweet but not treacle.
ReplyDeletethey do not make fabric like they used to. lol oh my gosh, I sound like my mother! where do they get this flimsy, thin, irregular fabric anymore? I want to go back and shop the fabric floor of the local J.C. Penneys, mid 1950s. My mother and sisters and I would touch every bolt of material, I think. Then buy the 3 yards that we could afford!
ReplyDeleteVoguish, classy, elegant!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
I do love that vintage fabric feels so much better quality than most modern clothes. It's a lovely dress (and so's the Mexican one below!)
