The next couple of days will be preparation madness in my house! More baking, cleaning, cooking, etc. Oh yeah! and a few last min gifts to purchase and wrap (eek!) So... I wanted to take the opportunity to sit down and write a few things before I am busier than a bee!
First things first, I want say Merry Christmas to all of my lovely readers! I truly appreciate the time you take out of your day to show an interest in my world! I hope your holiday is filled with family, friends, memories, relaxation and lots of good food & sweets!
Next, I just wanted to share a quick glimpse of my Christmas dress! I had the opportunity to wear it a few nights ago for a pre-Christmas party. I had my husband snap a quick pic of me standing in our kitchen, right before we headed out for a night on the town. At that time of night, it's the only place we could find a bright enough light. So excuse the lovely background atmosphere of my kitchen sink. I plan on wearing it again for our family Christmas Eve dinner!
I adore this 1950's era dress!

I absolutely love the outfit!! How did you do your hair like that?! I have been trying to figure out similar hair dos for a long time and cannot get it right!! thank you for any help! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ashley! It is a really simple hair-do. All it is- is two victory rolls on top and a roll along the bottom. I have thought about doing some hair tutorials, but for most of the daily styles that I wear, somebody has already done a tutorial on it. Maybe I will think of a couple to do anyway!!

seriously, how did I miss this post? I am swooning. You are perfection. That dress is unbelievable!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll your dresses are gorgeous, however happen that this one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI just discover your blog, and I am having a blast going through it...
The one thing that's wrong with this adorable vintage outfit is that you'd never button the top button like that. When I did it as a child, my grandma would chide me, explaining that it would distort the sweater's shape. You would use a sweater guard to keep it from slipping from your shoulders.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable Christmas outfit! That is just so classy, and I love your hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
