Suits & Boots & Hats oh my!

The cozy feeling of Winter! It's one of my favorite seasons. I love to feel the cold weather on my nose and the smell of the fireplace burning in my house. I also look forward to all the Holiday's the Winter brings!

There is no doubt about it! When I think of the seasons of fall and winter. Some of the elements that come into mind are gabardine, wool, knit, cashmere, felt, & fur. I will be the first to admit that because I live in a dry desert, I get way to anxious for Winter to arrive. I start thinking about getting cold and cozy in a sweater around August, when it is a blithering 105 degrees outside. A few of my Fall/Winter staples are definitely; suits, high waist trousers, sweaters, wool skirts, coats, boots and head wear (hats, turbans, scarves). My favorite accessories for Winter are definitely hats & gloves! Since I don't get to wear them to often in the summers here in Tucson. Unless it's a straw summer hat, it's just way too hot here!

One of my favorite Vintage suit makers was definitely Lili Ann. She made some wonderful pieces with amazing lines and peplums. Here are a few I would have liked to have in my closet.

Another item that I have on my wish list is a pair of 1940's boots with fur on the top. These ones im-
particular!!

I have a beautiful pair of suede Vintage reproduction ones that I found last year. However, they are lacking the fur on top (sigh). Even though I wear a size 6 1/2 which is pretty average. I still have a hard time cramming my foot into Vintage shoes. Once in a while I am lucky to find a pair that fit. I have come across this style of boot before, but good luck getting them to fit!

And coats! oh the gorgeous choice of coats! I just can't get enough of them. Princess coats, swing coats, furs, polo coats. I love them all! Here is a few to feast your eyes on.

I was lucky enough to find a swing coat similar to this one, but in navy blue at Buffalo Exchange about a month ago! That was a score for the day let me tell you!

Over the last couple of months, I have added a few new Winter pieces to my wardrobe. I definitely can't wait to style my Vintage Winter wardrobe and take some outfit pics. I guess I will just have to sit tight and be patient enough for the weather to come to a steady cool!

I hope you all enjoy your lovely Saturday's!

xoxo,
Syd,

  3. Do ya get to wear those duds often out west where you live? Maybe ya better bundle them up and send them to this Ozark farm chick where the cold wind blows here on the Ponderosa. It was a whoppin' 34 degrees here this morning.

Great clothes and I especially love the boots. Ya'll have a wonderful fall day!!!

  4. Jitterbug Doll- You lucky gal! I'm still on that mission. I have been looking for some fur ones for years now. All the ones I have come across were to narrow. I have a small, but very wide foot. I know it never gets that cold here lol!, but you should wear them anyway....

Nezzy- Lol! That's too funny. It never really gets that cold here. I think we want it to sometimes ha! ha! When it gets up to 110 in the summer. You have a great day too!

    XOXO,
