Shades of Olive

Green has always been on the list of favorite colors, but lately I've been obsessing over the color green, olive green to be specific. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors to wear this season. The actual fall weather reaches the desert a little later than the rest of the world, so this news flash may be late. Some of these items would argue to be called the color moss. Indeed it's very close in scale, but maybe a tad bit more brown in it. I think I just like the word  "olive" better, don't you? Here are some of my favorite selections in the world of olive.

Plain White T | Casual Chic

I’m not entirely sure if it’s the heat that is getting to me, or just the lazy vibe of summer itself. Most likely it’s a combination of both, but all I want to wear these days is a white t-shirt and jeans (preferably a loved pair of vintage 501 button down levi’s). This casual chic ensemble is perfect for a Sunday brunch outing, followed by some treasure hunting plans and a little adventurous wandering perhaps?Black leather converse and leather ray ban wayfarer frame sunglasses! I am definitely swooning over the chic spin on these classic pieces. The black leather backpack might even come in handy as a stylish shopping or camera bag. Boom.

Paint it Black

We all know how valuable a basic black shoe is. It's needed for almost any occasion and it complements almost any ensemble. I like to think of it as a commodity in the wardrobe dept. Simply Summer

The summer means stripping down to the comfortable basics, down to the things that are cool (as in temperature), relaxing, timeless, and effortlessly chic. In my experience, that feels like a simple everyday white dress, a straw sunhat, and a pair of favorite espadrilles. Finish it off with the lovely smell of a summer fragrance and a bright poppy red-orange lip. It's all you will ever need, all summer long. Happy Summer!

ten timeless coats

Investing in a good coat is something every lady must do! I must admit, coats are a bit of a fixation of mine. I start longing to wear them right about August, (totally inappropriate for my homeland of Arizona).  I just love the cozy feeling of bundling up under a coat and sipping on a cup of joe; while headed out for a day of treasure hunting or book store hopping. Not to mention, in a hurry, if you have the right coat on, it can just pull everything together beautifully (instant gratification!).
